How to get here
17 km east of Kandy
64 Bodiya Road, Wepathana, 20184 Gomagoda, Sri LankaBy tuk-tuk, taxi or car from Kandy
Take the A26 towards Mahiyangana and go through Digana. About 2 km later, just before the 16 km post, turn left onto Gomagoda Road. After 400 m, bear left at the Y-junction onto Wepathana Road. Where the road bends sharply left, take the first road on the right: that's Bodiya Road. We're at the top, with a small parking spot beside the house. The last part is steep.
From Sigiriya or Dambulla
Skip Kandy's traffic: take the Wattegama road about 1 km after Matale hospital, turn left at Madawala bazaar towards Digana, join the A26 and turn left at the 16 km post. Then follow the directions above.
From Mahiyangana
On the A26, pass Teldeniya and cross the stony Hulu Ganga bridge. Climb to the top of the hill and, just after the descent begins (past the 16 km post), turn right after the mechanic onto Gomagoda Road.
By bus
Bus 654 to Digana leaves about every 10 minutes from the stand by the market in Kandy, near the railway crossing and 200 m from the train station. It takes about 40 minutes. Get off at Gonawalle Junction, near the 16 km post, and take a tuk-tuk from there (a 30-minute walk otherwise). Or ask us to arrange a pickup.
